Templates Today!

I have two different groups of Templates to share with you today.

First off, is a set of blocked templates from Mad for the Mouse called
BLOCK IT
These are on the 'Project Life' idea, but with random shaped squares for loads of pictures or fun embellishments.

Sometimes if is fun to try to figure out how to alter the 12x12 templates.
These worked out great for my 8.5x11 pages.
For this first page, I used template #2 from Set A.
I dropped the long rectangle on the left and added a border.
I then deleted the row of squares on the bottom.
I used MOUSE MAGIC KIT also made by Mad for the Mouse.

For my second page I chose a template from Set B, #6.
I flipped it over and only used half of the template.
I used KICKIN' IT ON 66 kit by Mad for the Mouse.

Now, here is a set of templates thats a bit different.
Nibbles Skribbles has designed a set of templates for pages starters/stackers.

STACKED TEMPLATES
is all about getting your page started, then having your freedom to add photo spaces as you wish.

I used the upper left template and then added my photos in block fashion.
I used a new kit I've been able to play with over at theStudio called LITTLE ACORNS GROW.
It is a colab kit by Nibbles Skribbles and Jilbert's Bits of Bytes.
We were given this kit to use in the Layout Artist challenge going on right now.
It will available for purchase this next month.

Hello Spring

Hello April
is here!
This is the fourth collection of Nibbles Skribbles Hello 2014 series!
Save BIG by purchasing it through this month.

Here is a look at all the extras as well.
I'm enjoying that each Hello kit comes with a pair of templates.

Here is what I did with this kit, using one of the templates.

Also, I want to make you aware of Nibbles Skribbles current Facebook FREEBIE.
This mini is called
EARTH DAY

I created a page with some of my 'Earth' photos. :)

If you subscribe to Nibbles Skribbles newsletter, you can get a few extras.
This month is the solid papers to go along with the Earth Day kit.

Also, you can come join in at theStudio and all the fun that is being had right now.
We are celebrating a 5 year anniversary of theStudio ownership.

One of the fun activities is the Template Challenge.
Now, I may not be able to make a kit, but I can make a template.
The above Earth Day page I made was from a template of mine.
I have shared it before and love to share it now.
You can click here to grab it, or come over to theStudio here.

CUTTING fun.

Remember back to this post here. Yep, I have still been loving my toy.
Here are some of the other fun things I've done with this wonderful invention.

My nephew is the #1 Fan of the 49ers. His heart broke when they lost their last game this season.
His dad, is a super dad and spray painted his old Cowboys helmet gold and I cut the decals to go on it.
It looks like the $$$$ helmet that you can buy online!
I also cut him a large logo for his wall.

At Christmastime I made some cut-out ornament cards. You can find the directions here.
I used the negative space and made a few ornaments.

My daughter joined a city youth team for volleyball.
They all wanted pink as their team color. We wanted them to have some unity, and we didn't want to go to much expense for the parents, so I used what I had on hand and tried the FREEZER PAPER stencil technique. It worked great!

I have enjoyed the fact that I can cut anything I want with the Silhouette. But I haven't spent much time in designing what I want. So in February I took a triangle, filled it with swirls and the letters LOVE. This banner turned out so elegant. I think next time I would cut the letters a second time in a contrasting color.

This is the new fad at our house, even my nieces are asking for their own personal NAIL ART.
I have to make sure the pieces are no more than 1/4" wide. They are so tiny, but so fun on the nails.

Here is one more tiny idea. :)

I made another couple of cards, and designed them too.
I layered the words or flowers over a rectangle and welded them together.
So many possibilities!

And lastly, one of the most satisfying projects I've done.
I designed these GLASS ETCHED frames for the Young Women in my church group.
I cut out the image on removable vinyl and then applied it to the glass, then applied etching cream.
They turned out so beautiful.

I would love to see ideas of anyone who reads my blog.
So if you have something to share, please post a link in the comments.

Now...on to make a iron-on image for my son. ;)

Cafe in Paris

Oh La La
I can just see pictures of me sitting in a sidewalk cafe, enjoying rich, delicious foods from some of the most excellent chefs, fresh from the french cuisine schools.
For now, they will only be imagined, as I have never been to Paris.
Have you?
Maybe you have seen Les Miserables?
Or gone to the Las Vegas version of Paris?

Whatever it may be, look at all the loveliness this kit holds

Cafe In Paris

Here is a look at bundled deal.

And, my page....yep, no Paris. But it goes well with our trip to the point!

I used this wonderful Blocked Template by Sahlin Studio.
