My own QuickPage

Today as I was working on a new page I thought that I would try to see if I could make a quick page from it....so I did. COOL. I did have to mess a little with it to make it work, seems like when I erased the white boxes it erased some of the nearby element. All in all I think I understand it.

QuickPage

I tried to work with another template today and got frustrated!!! So in trying to help keep my scrapping spirits up I went for a QUICKPAGE (ie Plopper) for a quick fix.
I like that I can easily just add photos and do minor editing and my page is done. Yea for quickpages!

Templates?!

Today I read a few scrapbook blogs that were highlighting TEMPLATES! Now I have a few in my digi-stash and really have never used them. I'm really not sure how for starters. So today I opened up a template I have from Scrapping Sisters and selected each different colored area and filled it with a photo (which I could do with papers as well). I really didn't like that I couldn't figure out how to edit the photos....I'm sure there is a way. Otherwise I see templates as a good idea to try to follow.

I {heart} Primary mini kit

I have a DOWNLOADING ADDICTION!
I was checking on a scrapbooking blog and noticed that there was a link for some freebies....one was titled "I {heart} Primary". Of course I had to have it, seeing it's a religious kit. As the kit was downloading it occurred to me that I would have to make a page if I was going to download something new! (a good rule of thumb, hope I can keep) I found the photos of my daughters baptism and walla....here is the next page. I really like the layered paper look to this page.
cardstock papers are from DDbJ-ANAAB (blog train kit)
wordart paper is from SAHM_IheartPrimary kit
brown flower from LST_IHP, green brad from SAHM_IHP, white flower from cc_ANAAB (edited to antiqued), stitches from LWD_LoveBlossoms, paperclip from roseytoes_falling4fall

QuickPage

Today I downloaded a QUICK PAGE and was just filing it away when I stopped and said to myself, "Hey, isn't the point of getting these is to USE them!" So I pulled a few pictures out of my son's Pinewood Derby and walla...another page done!

trying something NEW

Well, I decided I wanted to try to keep up to date better with my digital scrapbook pages. So I thought that by fulfilling challenges that I see in the digital scrapbooking community that I would be better. (We'll have to wait to see if that is true) So thus this BLOG! To post my scrap pages and keep me going.

First up we have a great RECIPE CARD challenge..... ha! so much for the scrapbook pages :) :) Anywho...this kit is from Let Me Scrapbook! and is all about PARTY food. I chose to do a Harry Potter recipe seeing the dark colors. I wanted to do our PolyJuice Potion recipe, but can't remember how we made that one! :) All parts are from the LetMeScrapbook kit, the fonts are HarryP and Arial.

I don't know if I will do any more recipes now, cause I have so many other memories to get done, but hey....this is a start!
